Suché kopce ležící v Chráněné krajinné oblasti (CHKO) Žďárské vrchy zabírají více než třináct hektarů, z nichž více než 6,6 hektaru cenných luk je sečeno výhradně ručně prostřednictvím pracovníků Sdružení Krajina. Dalších 2,5 hektaru sušší plochy se seká za pomoci mechanizace. Finanční prostředky na údržbu podmáčených luk jsou získávány ze soukromých i veřejných finančních zdrojů.
